The luxury resort has gained recognition for being the first hotel in Baja California Sur to get the Distinctive T honors. In 2007, Marquis Los Cabos was chosen as the venue for the global launch of tequila brand Casa Azul Ultra . The Distinctive T honors are awarded by the Tequila Regulatory Council in Mexico and is only given to hotels and resorts that are involved in the promotion of tequila’s quality, culture and prestige.
