When I think of road trips I think two things, “are we there yet” & “I need to go to the bathroom.” If you are anything like me I dread most road trips. You sit in a car usually bored out of your mind without anything practical or productive to do. I only have one thing in mind when going on a long road trip and that is this; I am going to get there by THIS time! It is like I am always on the mission to get there while everyone else on deck tries to foil my plans. I now have a solution for most predicaments (except for the bladder control issue) that you have to know for your next road trip.
Mobile Hot Spot
Imagine going on a road trip where you can use almost every electronic you already own. Play some Netflix on the computer while you drive! Surf the web or play a video game online. These are all things that you can do with a mobile hotspot. My friends and I would play star craft on our computers via LAN. Such a good time killer. I mean how many of you waste your lives already in front of a TV watching Netflix?
There are so many things that you can use if you only had an electric outlet. I would recommend getting an AC adaptor that allows you to plug in multiple electronic devices that connects to your AC thingy in your car. No idea what that thing is called but it’s the thing that has the thing that makes smoking possible in the car… yeah something like that.
Make a playlist! Groove the “road trippin” by the Red Hot Chili peppers. Do a good mix so that everyone enjoys it. It may be likely that everyone has similar musical taste but there may be that one guy who likes heavy metal and another who likes rap. Try to accommodate according to who will be on the trip with you.
While you are away from home make sure everything is secure. We invested in a alarm monitoring system that gives us assurance that all things are good on the home front. Cedar hill home security was just another thing to ensure the safety of our children. If you have kids make sure you hire a baby sitter. If they are older and can be left home alone make sure you definitely have a home security system.
