Cordillera Ranch is a luxurious private community in Boerne, Texas with so many active lifestyle pursuits, residents often feel like they are living amid a premier resort. Nestled on dramatic, untamed land in Texas Hill Country, the property exemplifies the laid-back lifestyle for which the region is known.

The views from the clubhouse alone are breathtaking, yet the ultimate thrill is stepping into a custom home with equally stunning vistas. Residents and guests tap into their inner cowboy or cowgirl and explore the wide-open space on horseback or foot via eight miles of trail, or roam more than 90 acres of park land traversed through an intricate map of scenic roads on property.

The 8,700-acre community just 30 miles north of San Antonio was once two working ranches and includes five miles of Guadalupe River frontage. Opened in 1997 by DH Investment Company, the community has over 2,500 total lots on property with 630 homes built to date.

Home styles range from Tuscan and Old-World Mediterranean to traditional Texas Hill Country.  Interiors highlight unique features such as barrel ceilings lined in copper, domes over breakfast nooks, intricate hand-laid mosaics and wine rooms with custom built-in shelving that is as much art as it is functional. Big picture windows allow the morning sun to flood light into the room and if entertaining is a forte, outdoor spaces provide open-air kitchens, infinity pools and seating areas overlooking the hills and valleys below.

The flexible design/build model features lots ranging from a quarter to 10 acres. Lots start at $80,000 and homes range from $500,000 to over $2 million.  Lots have recently been released for sale in three new neighborhoods: Di Lusso II Villas (quarter acre lots), Bear’s Ridge (+/- 1 acre lots) and the Springs of Cordillera Ranch (1-3 acre lots).

Beyond home ownership, Cordillera Ranch offers seven lifestyle clubs appealing to today’s members:  Golf, River, Rod & Gun, Equestrian, Social, Spa & Athletic and Tennis & Swim. Saddle a horse from the stables and trot down trails on property or paddle a kayak down the river and enjoy leisure fishing. Load your gun for a day at the sporting clays center. Stay active by playing tennis on one of five lighted outdoor hard courts, swimming in one of four pools or building an exercise regimen at the full-service fitness facility. Finish the day with a massage, followed by a casual dinner al fresco.

Perhaps the best activity on the ranch, however, is golf at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, opened in 2006.  Ranked No. 5 in Texas by the Dallas Morning News, the layout meanders through valleys and oak-covered terrain featuring limestone walls and cascading waterfalls. In typical Nicklaus fashion, the course features tough bunker placements and many risk-reward shots.

Members can also access the club’s Signature Vacations program, offering yearly member-only excursions to destinations such as Napa, golf and fishing trips to the island of Kauai, Super Bowl VIP access and others.

Home ownership is not a requirement for membership to Cordillera Ranch’s exclusive activities. Four tiers of membership include:

  • Full Golf Membership – comprising access to all seven clubs, including unlimited access to the golf course and practice facilities
  • Limited Golf Membership – consisting of access to all seven clubs, including weekday usage (through noon on Friday) of the golf course and practice area
  • Ranch Membership – providing access to all clubs except golf
  • Corporate Memberships – offering limited golf access

Cordillera Ranch is not just a community of properties; it is a way of life. Peace, serenity and privacy –think you’re ready to delve into the ranch-lifestyle? Please visit or call 830.336.3570.
