Chocolates, roses, jewelry … it’s sometimes hard to know what to get that special someone for Valentine’s Day. This year, give the gift of a delightfully romantic dinner at Aria with menu choices like Warm Lobster Cocktail, Painted Hills Ranch Natural Beef Short Rib, and Upside Down Black Plum Cake. The restaurant is serving a four-course prix-fixe menu for $90 per couple.
At Aria, chef and managing partner Gerry Klaskala delivers top-notch regional dishes that are both sophisticated and edgy in style. His avant-garde take on fine American cuisine leaves guests fulfilled and intrigued every visit. The freshest and highest-quality ingredients arrive daily and culminate into dishes that are simple, yet refined. Many of the meats are braised, roasted, stewed, or simmered for long periods of time generating the perfect flavor. Signature dishes include the Warm Lobster Cocktail, the Niman Ranch Slow Roasted Pork, and the Zinfandel Braised Beef Short Rib. Guests typically order at least one of the award-winning desserts prepared by outstanding Pastry Chef Kathryn King. Favorites include the Cross Creek Tangerine Panna Cotta, the Fresh Sorbets, and the Warm Chocolate Cheesecake.
The wine list at Aria pairs perfectly with Klaskala’s bold dishes, offering wines that highlight the flavors of the food. With wines encompassing new and old styles, established and emergent trends, and ranging from a variety of regions across the world, Aria provides guests with an assortment of options. The list includes selections from top, well-regarded producers as well as smaller, high-quality makers with an influence on origin. The wine list is ever-changing, presenting new options by the bottle and by the glass weekly.
The atmosphere at Aria is a romantic experience in itself. The modern bar and lounge area is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink. Contrastingly different from the dimly-lit and dark bar, the main dining room is open with white walls and white-linen tables. Decorated with two jeweled canine sculptures, silk tapestry, and a highly- talked about chandelier, it’s hard to miss Aria’s artistic inspiration. The sleek, black booths of the upper balcony offer a more personal dining option. Silk window draperies complement the black and white tapestry that lines the walls of the main dining room. The focal point of the room is the unique, sensual chandelier.
For patrons desiring a completely unique and amorous experience, there is a special table located downstairs in the wine cellar. The picturesque, quiet space holds endless bottles of fine wine and is lit by candles nightly. The cellar’s romantic setting is just the place for a romantic Valentine’s Day.
Aria has been named as “The Country’s Best Restaurant” by Esquire Magazine and has received the prestigious Robert Mondavi Culinary Award of Excellence. Additionally, the restaurant has acquired numerous accolades from local and national publications, including Bon Appetit, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Magazine and Gayot Dining Guide to name a few.
