World Fashion Week celebrates fashion and world peace. This global fashion gathering will be hosted in New York, on November 11 at the prestigious Cipriani. The world premier will gather fashion Icons, influential leaders and international media from five continents, in a celebration of cultural diversity expressed through the artistic fashion discipline.

The Welcoming Gala will officially welcome leading fashion designers, for their outstanding contribution and achievements dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of fashion, promoting creative leadership for artistic, technical and social achievements within the global fashion industry. Nominated designers will present one specially crafted couture garment, as a preview of World Fashion Week 2012, donating the presented outfit to support and commit to the eradication of poverty and women empowerment. After the New York Gala, these garments will be taken on a world tour, being exhibited in museums and fashion weeks around the world, all the way to WFW NYC 2012 Inaugural Ceremony. Afterwards, the annual event will be held in different countries in a continental bases, encouraging entrepreneurship activities and human development.

During the glamorous and historic evening, World Fashion Week will officially welcome leading fashion designers and models from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United States of America. The World Fashion Week humanitarian mission is to globally expand the potential power of fashion as a tool that will in turn promote a shift in consciousness to a more unified, sustainable, fair and socially responsible global community, leading to world peace.
