The fourth-annual “New York Culinary Experience” will take place April 28-29, 2012 at The International Culinary Center in New York. It is the only culinary event of its kind that gives foodies the chance to enjoy an intimate weekend of hands-on master classes, cooking and conversation with more than 30 of the most prominent chefs in the country. This year’s participating chefs include David Bouley (Bouley, Upstairs, Secession, and Bouley Bakery); Jean Georges Vongerichten (Perry St., Mercer Kitchen, Spice Market, and more); Mark Ladner and Brooks Headby (Del Posto); Michael Anthony (Gramercy Tavern); Dan Kluger (ABC Kitchen); Floyd Cardoz (North End Grill); Seamus Mullen (Tertulia); George Mendes (Aldea); and Michael Lomonaco (Porter House New York).
A limited number of tickets for this year’s hands-on weekend are now available. The cost for the weekend is $1,395 per ticket and includes classes, breakfast, lunch, and a cocktail/wine reception everyday. Additionally, this year the event will feature an auction package for a once-in-a-lifetime Provence experience. The winner will receive a three-night stay and dinner for two at the Michelin-rated Maison Bru in Eygalières, France, complete with a cooking lesson from esteemed chef/owner and MasterChef Belgium television personality Wout Bru, private tour of Chateau d’Estoublon along with a signed copy of his latest cookbook. A portion of proceeds from the event will support The Future Chefs Scholarship, a program established to provide scholarships for students who wish to pursue their dream of attending culinary school.
